Community Compost Drop-Off Initiative

Thanks to a $10k donation from LocalShops1 Shopapalooza Festival, we've launched our Community Compost Initiative. We've transformed our excess buckets into compost collection buckets for community members to store food scraps for drop-off* at the farm.

If you're interested in participating, please complete the interest form at the link below.

*Drop-off link is for those dropping off buckets at the farm (must be completed every time)

How often should I drop off my food scraps?

At your convenience. You can drop it off once a week or once a month. If you create a lot of food scraps and your bucket gets full, feel free to drop it off once that happens! Please do not drop off food scraps that have surpassed over a month.

I haven't picked up my bucket yet, but I filled out the interest form. When can I pick it up?

From August 19th - December 19th our pick-up hours are:
Monday - Thursday, 3:00pm - 6:00pm
Mondays 6:00pm - 7:00pm

Are weekend drop offs available?

Currently, we do not offer weekend drop off except on the last Saturday of the month during our Community Workday or any event we're holding at the farm on Saturday.

Why can't I drop off outside the provided drop-off window?

We ask that any buckets that get dropped off be done on the days we will be able to bring them inside to prevent any disturbing of the buckets, we try to compost as soon as we receive them but to ensure no tampering of buckets occurs we need them inside the property.
